GRAPHIC DESIGN: As Online Content editor of The Orb, I taught myself how to use SNO Elementor to create photo galleries, graphics, and unique page layouts that appeal to our target audience for articles published to the SMN website.  I have demonstrated proficiency at Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop, two tools that are necessary for creating designs that stand out to readers. I also employ my graphic design expertise when creating Instagram reels that attract viewers and generate traffic for the BeLocal Instagram page.

​CREATIVE WRITING: I have been winning awards and distinctions for my writing since 6th grade, my most recent award being for Excellence in Print News from Ball State CCIM+. and many projects of mine are featured in the school newspaper and yearbook, as well as published professionally in the BeLocal North Indy Suburbs magazine. 

NEWS, EDITORIAL, & FEATURE WRITING: I have received awards for my news, editorial, and feature writing from the Women's Press Club, I have served as both the News and Op/Ed editor of The Orb, and my feature writing is showcased in the September issue of Stroll: Britton Falls and the May Issue of BeLocal North Indy Suburbs

DSLR PHOTOGRAPHY: I express proficiency in operating DSLR cameras to take photos for the school newspaper and yearbook, as well as photos for my Yelp reviews and BeLocal posts.

AP-STYLE EDITING: With two years of Newsroom experience, I have developed an expertise in AP-style copy editing by attending copy-editing workshops at Ball State JDay and Franklin College, and personally practicing copy-editing by editing stories in the Op/Ed and News sections.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATION: For my job at BeLocal, I make Instagram reels using photo/video editing and voiceover software, and I use my posts to promote local businesses.
